REASONS TO ENJOY
Many a historical reference makes mention of the great cheesemaking culture throughout the region of Murcia. Even today, many of the country estates in the region preserve the antique presses and braided straw belts used to curdle, shape and press the cheese. Once finished and salted, the cheese was either eaten fresh or matured for months in caves or cellars.
The shepherds of Murcia invented the idea of combining wine and cheese in a most original manner. The result: Wine Cheese from Murcia, typical yet unique in all of Europe, obtained by bathing Murcian goat cheese in red wine during its maturation.
